Begley Group is a diversified, family led group of companies that has operated within Geelong’s construction industry for over 40 years. The organisation approached IvyStreet to develop a new brand that would provide a strong, tangible foundation for its residential home brands and position Begley Group as a recognised partner of quality for investment and business partnerships.

IvyStreet led a strategic brand development process to create a future focused brand platform with the clarity, stability and longevity required to support the group’s next phase of growth.
Through a collaborative workshop with key stakeholders, a clear brand platform and set of guiding attributes were defined, aligning how the group wished to be perceived.The brand positioning line, “Local foundations. Building beyond.”, was developed to anchor the identity. It reflects the group’s family based, locally grounded origins in construction, while expressing a clear ambition to pursue and add value to opportunities aligned with its strategic framework.
Secondary brand elements were introduced to add depth and flexibility to the system. A custom brand icon, inspired by the Begley “B,” conveys momentum and forward movement, supported by a complementary pattern that symbolises multiple inputs working together toward shared goals. Guidelines ensured consistency across all communications, with desaturated imagery retouched to align with the brand colour palette.

Feedback from key stakeholders revealed that the existing brand lacked clarity and depth, failing to reflect the strength, credibility and ambition of the Begley Group.
The organisation required a brand with soul, one that balanced confidence for investment partners with its local, family led foundations. The challenge was to translate the group’s values, experience and ambition into a clear and compelling brand expression, while remaining flexible enough to support a diversified business model.
OUTCOME
The result is a confident, flexible brand system built for long term growth. A custom wordmark and cohesive brand system position the Begley Group as a trusted partner of quality.
Secondary elements, including considered imagery and language, add adaptability across applications. The elements of the brand have been structured so the in-house team can take control of their communications, confident in the knowledge that they have all the essential elements to remain consistent and effective. A brand they are proud to stand behind.
