Clearwater Colac

Like many regional centres across Victoria, Colac is a vibrant community with established amenity and industry offering employment. Limited product diversity in the local property market presented an opportunity for DM Property to make a bold statement introducing Clearwater as the premier offering in the region.

OVERVIEW

Located on the shoreline of Victoria’s largest natural freshwater lake, Clearwater is one of the first masterplanned communities to be launched in the regional town of Colac.

Appointed by DM Property Group,  we were tasked with creating a brand and launch strategy that would establish the project in the hearts and minds of a proud local community.

CHALLENGE

The development team briefed us with creating a bold brand that would differentiate the project from existing competitors and future masterplanned communities.

The graphic language of the signalling flags is a unique callout, serving as an asset that is flexible in size, formation and translates effectively as an animation. The primary colour choices expand on the theme by avoiding the nature inspired palettes of many regional competitors. Offsetting the strength of colour and graphic elements, the wordmark and collateral are designed with a contemporary simplicity leaving space for lifestyle imagery to complete the brand story narrative. Meanwhile, the perspective delivered by drone footage was essential to illustrate the beauty of the waterfront and the practical context of location.

 
OUTCOME

Clearwater was initially launched into the Colac market via a 12 week Expression of Interest campaign. During this period, digital advertising generated 357 leads while the campaign landing page received 4,697 visits – excellent levels of engagement for a regional project launch achieving the goals of both the sales and development teams.
