The Australian Native Artisan Crackers were an exciting new variety for The Valley Produce Company range of Australian made products. The client brief dictated a fresh approach in line with the unique Australian flavours that were to be introduced to market.

OVERVIEW

The Valley Produce Company identity was one of the first projects in an almost decade-long partnership between IvyStreet and nationwide food distributer and wholesaler, Gourmet Brands.

Success of the range is reflected by the 20 sweet and savory product lines that can be found on the shelves of major retailers including Coles, Woolworth’s, IGA and a variety of independent retailers across Australia. Products are also available in overseas markets including the US, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.

The Australian Native Artisan Cracker Range is the first Valley Produce Company product to incorporate indigenous Australian ingredients. Kakadu Plum and Basil, Wattleseed and Fig, Saltbush and Cranberry were represented by a fresh visual aesthetic designed to be bold in its introduction of the unique flavours.

The artisan, farmers gate theme of the existing range was replaced by the vibrant colours of the Australian landscape. Textural illustrations of the ingredients are both descriptive and decorative, a versatile foundation for the competative FMCG market.

OUTCOME

The Australian Native Artisan Cracker Range has been successfully pitched, earning the right to be stocked in Coles. A successful small batch launch has triggered the implementation of an Australia wide roll out in the first quarter 2024.
